The Boston Brevet Series

The Boston Brevets are a series of long distance cycling events which are also training and qualifying rides for other randonneuring events such as The Colorado Last Chance 1200km Randonnée (September 10-13, 2008). This web site contains all the information about these rides and a downloadable registration form. If you'd like a hardcopy brochure and registration form via snail mail, send your postal address to Bruce and Tracey Ingle, series organizers, at "tracey 'at' bostonbrevets 'period' com".

The 2008 Series

All rides start and end at Hanscom Field in Bedford, MA, and average about 3000 feet of climbing for each 100 kilometers.

Routes are subject to change, but we're tentatively planning the following:

All routes will essentially be the same as in 2007; the 200k will use the route of the later 2007 200ks and the 300k will use the earlier route. We anticipate possible route changes to the third segment of the 200k, the second and third segments of the 300k, the seventh and eighth segments of the 600k, and the seventh checkpoint of the 600k. Also, the 600k start time has changed back to 04:00 and the overnight will be in Sandgate, VT, as it was in 2006.

Current cue sheets are available at the start of every ride. Should you choose to ride a brevet using an old or preliminary cue sheet and wind up off course as a result, don't blame us!

Preliminary cue sheets for the 2008 series are posted below; final versions will be posted once they're available, usually the week of the event. Preliminary cue sheets are subject to change without notice.
